| Abstract art is art that does not directly depict nature. It uses color and form to create interesting images that in general do not closely represent objects in the natural world. I say in general, because you will find abstract art in nature - cloud shapes is a simple example. I use the category somewhat loosely in that I have placed images in this gallery that do not belong in my other galleries :-) | |
